Sexy Woman Undressing

If this doesn't get hits, nothing will. I love you Google.

Don't worry, eatduck.com is in no danger of becoming un-useful. It's been useless for a couple years now. I've constantly brainstormed of exciting ways of bringing in revenue and hits, but after numerous unsuccessful attempts, I've realized that it all amounts to luck and consistency rather than actual effort. Unless you consider consistency effort, I suppose. Diligence is its own reward right? Give some hits to us lazy people.

I shouldn't be surprised. Laziness is the worst strategy in any free market-based economy. That's why I look down on all the homeless people that slum about around campus. I admit I do not understand their motivations for living the way they do, but this is America, and we all get to live how we damn well please. *crushes beer can on forehead*

You know what, I shouldn't be thinking about hits. Driving traffic to a site is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. It's a long term goal with a high risk of failure and the expected payoff is quite low. Right now people are slowly dying of exposure and digging through trash cans to find a hearty good meal. So Internet, I decry your allure of celebrity and overnight success, and reclaim my space as a creative outlet and cork board for all my Capitalist Manifesto wanna-be- diatribes and longing artwork of sexy women. That's right, in case you haven't been paying attention, I love capitalism and sexy women. I poop on you, socialism.

Rise of Nations has it right. In this highly under-appreciated RTS game, you can choose to implement a government to boost your productive capabilities, from Monarchy to Democracy. Socialism is the late-game alternative to Capitalism, and if you choose the Socialism route you'll get some hefty unit production boons to amass a massive (China-esque) standing army. You also get a fly Chairman Mao look-a-like in a jeep. Capitalism gets you an old pasty white guy with the title of CEO, but he helps your nuclear capabilities, boosts oil production and basically prints money for you. Hmm... more units or more money and more effective destructive capability? The choice is never hard for me.

I apologize in advance and retro-vance for the lack of updates. I really have no excuse, so feel free to comment on my rambling posts about infertility epidemics in Congo. Any criticism is good criticism right?

Sproul Plaza Strike Illustration

For those of you who don't know, the University of California is in a crisis of budgetary proportions. Student fees are set to increase by 32% to compensate for a state funding cut. Thank god I only have one year left, hopefully. I just want to get out alive, but unfortunately my poor grades, lackluster social life, and emotional heartbreak are determined to drown me in overwork and nervous breakdowns. Such is the life of a tortured artist.

However, I have noticed a drastic increase in my artistic prowess, both in drawing and in music: I composed a song concept in an hour, from scratch! Nice huh? It is a bit generic sounding, but hopefully that's just me. I think what sadness does to an artist is it frees up your hand and creative energies, making you more bold with your strokes and ideas. What do you have to lose? You've already lost everything else. I think I finally get that.

President Yudof Takes An Ethereal Stroll

The President of the University of California having a nice stroll through the UC Berkeley campus. Doesn't he just look like a happy campus-er? I'm not really sure what he's happy about myself. I think what I was going for was "blissfully unaware".

Girl In Swimsuit Sketch

I want to do oil painting again. It's fun. Just wish I had somewhere to do it and some free time. This sketch was created using the fabulous Colors! App for the Nintendo DS. It reminds me of this software I used to use called Open Canvas, which had a bunch of watercolor textured brushes and had this awesome feature where you can paint on the same canvas with other people online in real time. As a matter of fact, that would be an awesome feature to include in Colors! due to the DS's wireless capabilities. One can dream eh?
